Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) Hosts Stakeholder Engagement in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State

Yenagoa, Bayelsa State 26th September, 2025. Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) convened a successful Stakeholder Engagement Forum at the Golden Tulip, Bayelsa State Government House, Yenagoa. The event brought together critical stakeholders from government, security agencies, community representatives, and the oil and gas sector to strengthen collaboration in safeguarding national energy infrastructure.

The program commenced with an opening prayer led by Madam Rosebela Jackson, followed by a welcome address and opening speech by Dr. Akpos Mezeh, General Manager of PINL, who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders and ensuring the security of oil and gas assets across Bayelsa State.

The engagement also featured a drama presentation titled “Offspring of the Creek”, which highlighted the importance of community participation in protecting oil and gas facilities.

Stakeholders present shared constructive feedback, acknowledging PINL’s efforts while calling for deeper collaboration with host communities.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation by ACP Ishaku Banawi, representing the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command. He emphasized the vital role of the police in working with partners to safeguard oil and gas assets, ensuring peace and security across operational areas.

In his remarks, Engr. Imor, Project Monitoring representative from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), commended PINL’s performance. He stated that based on statistics and reports from field operators, “PINL is doing well in fulfilling its surveillance and monitoring responsibilities.”

The session concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Ebikeme Andrew of PINL’s Community Relations team, who thanked all participants for their contributions and reaffirmed PINL’s commitment to continuous stakeholder engagement. A closing prayer was offered, followed by a group photograph and networking session.

This forum underscores PINL’s dedication to collaboration with government, communities, and security agencies in building safer and more productive host environments for oil and gas operations in Bayelsa State.
