The 5th edition of the Port Harcourt Fashion
show,(PFS), held on Thursday, February,2008 at G’s Barracuda
on King Perekule street, Gra Phase 2,Port Harcourt. The
event organized annually by Supreme Events Global Limited
featured four designers who qualified from a large pool
after a screening held days to the event.
Shola West, So Glamorous and Alabs trendy creations
displayed their creativity and attention details with their
designs showcased by fashion models. Compered by Ejiro
Umukoro and Angel d Laugh , the show began early evening
with comedy and musical performance by acts from the Niger
Delta region.Soon after,Raymond Ukaegbu,Producer of the PFS
delivered his welcome address,during which he solicited more
support from corperate bodies for the show.
A special appearance by children of the African Queen
production opened the runway before Euriel Chike Mordi of
Zalima Creations showcased his designing creativity before
the contestants took their turn on the runway.Duncan Mighty,
Macho man,Young Waves dance troupe, Captain OJB Smith and
Xplus were some of the performers on the night.At the end of
the event,The Judges including Mercy Njoku, Millicent Jack,
Bunmi Durojaiye and Uche Ogbonda unanimously declared Kate
Egwu of So Glamorous as the 2008 winner. At the end
of the event an after party took place at Daniels Restaurant
and Bar,in the same GRA phase 2 immediately. |
